Pictures from the filming process

During the filming process we took pictures of significant moments in the session. This was done in order to allow the audience to visualise the way in which we went about filming our trailer.

This picture was taken during the early filming process, during our first ever shoot. We wanted a secluded and dark room in order to allow the audience to isolate the theme of Torture throughout the trailer as the setting is an extremely important factor in the portrayal of themes.

This shot took a lot of careful preparation than most of our other basic shots. Our group wanted to ensure we presented the scene and the bruise itself in a realistic manner in order to add to the realism which will in return reinforce the suspense within the atmosphere as the audience are viewing the trailer.

In this shot we wanted to showcase the use of props in our trailer as well as the use of makeup in order to show how we have a broad understanding of the Genre in the sense that we understand the appropriate props to use in order to connote the correct themes.

This shot further analyses our broad understanding of the genre. We use costumes such as the Hazmat suit in order to solidify the realism within the trailer and to directly connote to the audience that this is a Thriller Genre trailer. The use of costumes also allows for more confusion and mystery within the trailer which is extremely useful as trailers are built on the foundation of confusion and mystery.

This shot shows how as a group we have branched out to a more people rather to act in our trailer as it relies on heavily on character establishment within a group of people. This shot also shows how the camera is set up on the dolly, which we have utilised in order to make our trailer seem close to industry standard.

Character 6 was filmed laying on a metal table in the catering department. we did this to show the theme of entrapment as she was strapped to the table. we used makeup to place emphasis on the torture that has occurred.

We then went on to film the normal lives of 3 characters before the incident which we are going to contrast with the shots of the same characters after the incident to further develop the characters and allow the audience to understand them and perhaps sympathize with them.

We then recorded a short snippet of me walking across the hallway, we recorded just my feet in order to place emphasis on the theme of

this was one of the pictures we took to use for our magazine cover. It links directly with the film as well as continuing the theme of enigma.

we once again implemented the dolly within a walking tracking shot because we like the smooth, professional effect it has on a shot.

we used the dolly shot to shoot the exam scene as again we believe it provided a professional atmosphere.
